So, I ran across this random questionnaire. The idea is that you pick twelve characters from your favorite show/book and said characters get laced into the questions as related to the number you wrote them on. It turns out frightening and random... my recommendation is, for the most fun, do not read the questions before filling out your list of characters.

So, I took the chance provided to truly geek out over old school Star Trek. Apparently I'm a not-so-closet Trekkie... And for the record, coming up with twelve main characters from Trek is hard... so random things like tribbles make it to the list instead O.o

Character LIST:

1.) James T. Kirk
2.) Dr. Lenard “Bones” McCoy
3.) Nyota Uhura
4.) Montgomery “Scotty” Scott
5.) Pavel Chekov
6.) Nurse Chapel
7.) Spock
8.) Hikaru Sulu
9.) Janice Rand
10.) Christophe Pike
11.) Harry Mudd (Really sleazy sort of trader fellow)
12.) Tribbles

The QUESTIONS:

1.Have you ever read a [SIX]/[ELEVEN] story before?
Ah... no. Nurse Chapel, all though the had a funny run in with Harry Mudd in the animated series, has never been the first character I read for. All the same, I've never seen such a fic. She's always going for Spock in everything I see...

2. Do you think [FOUR] is hot? How hot?
Scotty? Hot? That's a big ole NO! The closest he comes to cute even is in the new movie. Overall, I love the man's humor and his loving care of the Enterprise, but I've never thought of him as physically attractive

3. What would happen if [TWELVE] got [EIGHT] pregnant?
I think that would be some sort of bestiality in reverse. Also, I don't think Sulu is capable, and I know the tribbles produce enough furry little babies on their own to never need to impregnate anything else...

4. Do you recall any story about [NINE]?
Yes. Someone was really ripping on Janice. She was Kirk's Yeoman in the first season (Ah, kept track of paper work for him, brought him his meals, extra). Anyway, it was a mocking fic about how much she pined for Kirk. I laughed.

5. Would [TWO] and [SIX] make a good couple?
McCoy and Chekov?!?! Nope. Ignoring everything else, I have to say that McCoy is too old and gritty for Chekov. Chekov is too young and... hate to say it, nieve for McCoy. And Chekov, well, he's a play boy in the original series, I think he watches Kirk too much

6. [FIVE]/[NINE] or [FIVE]/[TEN]?
Hah, Chekov would go for Janice long before Pike! Such a FIVE/TEN on this one, because Janice is just curvier and all...

7. What would happen if [SEVEN] walked in on [TWO] and [TWELVE] having sex?
Right, Spock walks in on McCoy and the tribbles doing the dirty... Is this a crack!fic? Ah... I suppose, knowing Spock, he'd likely try to analyze how it was possible first, and then he would either be disgusted with or be ripping on Bones. The whole idea is disturbing though...

8. Make up a summary for a [THREE]/[TEN] story.
[Only true fans/geeks will understand half the crap in this summary ]
Going back to the restricted Talos IV seemed the only way to return Uhrua to herself after a violent alien first contact. An able Christopher Pike guides her to mental solace, and maybe a little something more...

9. Is there any such thing as [ONE]/[EIGHT]fluff?
Kirk and Sulu? Yeah, I'm sure there is somewhere. Kirk is such a man-whore in fanfiction, he gets paired with about... anything that moves, really.

10. Suggest a title for a [SEVEN]/[TWELVE] hurt/comfort story.
Spock and the tribbles? As a hurt/care story? Uh....
“Fur and Bandages”

11. What kind of plot would you use for [FOUR] to de-flower [ONE]?
O.o Scotty de-flowers Kirk, huh? I would have to go with the old cliché about the drunken men in the bar. Scotty being the older and wiser (must be while Kirk is still a cadet, or EARLIER) and Kirk being the fresh faced ah... future man-whore. Scotty takes the boy back for a drunken one night stand, I guess.

12. Does anyone you know read [THREE] het?
Uhura in hetero stories? Yes, I know those readers, they tend to be big Spock/Uhura fans

13. Does anyone you know write [ELEVEN]?
For Harry Mudd? Nope, I don't know anyone...

14. Would anyone you know read [TWO]/[FOUR]/[FIVE]?
Wooo, McCoy, Scotty, Chekov threesome? I don't personally know anyone who would, but I'm sure SOMEONE out there would...

15. What might [TEN] scream at a moment of passion?
Christopher Pike … “Enterprise!”

16. If you wrote a song-fic about [EIGHT], what song would you choose?
Song-fic about Sulu... “My Blade a My Pride.” Which is a character song from the anime Bleach, for anyone who is curious. Sulu... he's in love with his sword and his fencing skills

17. If you wrote a [ONE]/[SIX]/[TWELVE] story, what would the warning be?
Kirk, Nurse Chapel, and the tribbles?
Warning: “Here-in be bestiality!”

18. What might be a good pick-up line for [TEN]to use on [TWO]?
Chris Pike: “Hey, I've got some Saurian Brandy back in my quarters....”
McCoy: “It's about damn time someone offered me a drink.”

19. How might [ELEVEN] describe a relationship between [TWO] and [EIGHT]?
Harry Mudd describing a McCoy/Sulu relationship...
“Well it seemed a terrible waste of a couple of perfectly good dupes... er, gentlemen. And then I realized that the love potion I discovered helped older gentlemen 'stay in the game.' And voila, I knew I could still make SOME money off of this deal!”

20. How Emo is [SEVEN]?
Spock... Emo? Pfftttt, BEST QUESTION EVER! And therefore, I feel everyone should answer it on their own.

21. "[Kirk] and [Spock] are in a happy relationship until [Janice] runs off with [Spock]. [Kirk], brokenhearted, has a hot one-night stand with [Harry Mudd] and a brief unhappy affair with [the tribbles], then follows the wise advice of [Chekov] and finds true love with [Uhura].
I needed to fill in the blanks on that one to see how truly ridiculous it sounded...

22. What title would you give the story created in question 21?
“Losing Happiness to Vulcans and Furries”

23. You've reached the end! By the way, I set you up on a date with [TWO]!

You set me up with McCoy? Seriously? He's going to be complaining at me all night now. Thanks a lot! All well, at least it wasn't the tribbles.

Right, I think I'm  done geeking out for the moment ^_^

Survived Christmas intact! Exciting all on its own.

Had my Floridian buddy come up for a while last week and proceeded to indulge in much Playstation 3 time. It was fantastic. I can't convince my boy toy to lay Little Big Planet with me, so in order to have buddy time I need to con said friend into laying. Not that I have to twist her arm very far. Oh, and LB now has water! (Which looks amazing in game, btw.)

I found myself with Dragon Age Origins as a Christmas gift this year. Fantastic RPG, excellent voice acting, fun plot. It's very western in the lay through, but in a good way. I have to say though, they made the PS3 version frighteningly easy. I almost wish I had the computer version, but as my laptop is something of a clunker at this point, just as well to have it on the platform!

I also stumbled upon a great wiki if I ever found one. Adult in its commentary, yet bitingly comedic. I'm having fun hanging out there!

encyclopediadramatica.com

Of which I should take particular note was this very funny article concerning the use of the English Language and various things there in. Much love. Too bad my grammar and spelling will still always be a fail >.>

Well, it really is amazing how having a wonderful new world of Internet abilities eats away at your time! I've discovered that I can play the various Flash based games over on Facebook (ie- Farmville and Vampire Wars.) I've discovered I can make use of those “Free trial for Music Downloads” that come with thumb drives. I can do all sorts of things!

And yet, half of the time I still find myself just off and visiting fan fiction ^_^ How sad.

And having speeds like this, well, I shouldn't admit to it, but I'm itching like a mad woman to tweak my website again. I mean, I already had to go through and adjust a freakin boat load of links after the death of GeoCities.

On to other things though.

Wheel of Time Report:

I finished the 12th book. I really quite enjoyed it! It started out feeling a little stilted at first with the introduction of the ghost author. There were a few characters (ie – Rand) who just didn't quite seem to behave correctly. The thing is, as you got further into the book, either I got used to the new author, or he got better at blending writing, or some combination happened. By the end of the book I was more than happy with the results.

There were times though... there were times when I felt a pang for Robert Jordan though. I could see his writing in some of the scenes, I really could. But in others I missed it. There was a certain lack of expansion on some details that left me wanting of my infamous author. Did these lack of detail do anything to ruin the book? Absolutely not – the flow was just fine with out them. I just know that RJ would have had them in there, and knowing that makes me nostalgic...

Anime Report:

Hah, I can watch anime online now! Novelty! And there are a few series I've been told about over the years, or that I've wanted to see that I just never had the opportunity to get too. Anyway, I found this website that has a number of anime on record and well pinpointed that I've been using for my viewing needs. This lace has all of the anime in Japanese with Eng. Subs. Its called AnimeSeason – just in case anyone else is looking ^_^

So. I went through and watched Black Lagoon on a good friend of mine's recommendation. Wow, what a fun and violent anime! And wow, what terrible English >.< One of the few times I wish there would have been subtitles for the English bit too... Any way, this is an awesome anime for those who like modern day pirates, politics, and frightening lady gun wielders!

And then, well, and then I had the urge to watch Trigun. It is one of those classic anime that I saw one or two episodes of AGES ago and always meant to watch. So... I did! And wow, does that anime go from happy go lucky to a dark sort of mental train wreck! I like Wolfwood though. A lot.

And, if you haven't seen the whole series but intend too, don't read this spoiler!

Read about Wolfwood )

For those who have seen the anime and really enjoyed it, you MUST read the manga! Wow, the Trigun comic is worlds away from the anime in the level of how dark it turns. And Wolfwood is so much a darker character too. Never mind that you get a load of back story that just sort of got left out of the anime. Things are so much clearer to me now as I'm reading the manga. I'm loving it though.

Looking for the manga online? Go to Bleach Exile's Online Manga Reader. They have a whole boat load of manga available, not just bleach. You'll find it translated and easy to read. In this case, scroll down to Trigun and Trigun Maximum. Enjoy ^_^

My next anime goal is to watch Death Note – I've been told it is a must see!

Ah... AHHHHHHH!!!!!!! I finally have high speed internet! It isn't the fastest of high speeds, but my is it leaps and bounds beyond my dial up! I can now lay with the wi-fi on my laptop, AND update my PS3 as needed!

Now I'm at a loss, read my WoT book or play on wi-fi? Well, I've been doing a little of both. But, what fun things I've discovered. Like, new anime series (new to me, at least). I'm currently watching Black Lagoon ^_^

Oh, and my Griffins page loads SO MUCH faster. But then, so does everything else.... All is well with the world!

So, I made the mistake of picking up those vampire books by Barbra Hambly (Ah, Those Who Hunt the Night and Traveling with the Dead .) Don't take me wrong. I love these books. Don Simon Ysidro is one of the best characterizations of a vampire I have ever read. And the author does a really nice job of creating explanations for both a vampire's strengths and weaknesses. And you know, it made sense to read them, coming out of Halloween weekend and all.

But...

The newest Wheel of Time book finally arrived! I wondered for a long time about book twelve, with the origional author (Robert Jordan) having passed away in 2007. But the drafted a ghost writer, and now the series that has taken me for years will be completed! Not, in this book, I guess, but with in this and two more books. So, book twelve (The Gathering Storm) is now out... co-written (read: ghost writer) Brandon Sanderson. I bought it, all 760+ ages of it's hardcover glory.

Now I have to wait to read it until I finish TwtD. Heh. And my friend from Florida continues to taunt me by telling me juicy tidbits as she reads the book! Dang...

Back to reading so I can get INTO what I really want ^_^

Not our camper, but I really have to give props to these people for thier creativity. Attack of the spider!

Potty Monster

The campground that I go to has a "haunted hayride" that they set u each year. This was just one of the, eh, stops(?) on the path. It made me laugh, and so I must share it!

I went camping with my family for Halloween weekend. I think it would have been fine -- sans family! Don't get me wrong, I love my family dearly. I really do. I just do not do well sending four days straight with them. It could be that I'm just a very antisocial erson. I couold be that I just don't like dealing one on one with the family drama that long.

It could be that I was longing for that nice, empty, quiet house back home. Yes, I think that was it.

Anyway, long story short. We had some family drama over who was to help out with what, Then for fun, on the day we were supposed to leave, our friend's truck took a dump. Of course, it is a 4-wheel drive so we had to wait for a flat bed truck to come get him. So, when we were intending to leave at 11 am, we wound u leaving at 4pm. Now i get to look forward to helping unpack that motor home in the dark.

Bah. On the other hand, I had fun with my pumpkin carving this year. I'll try to get a pick of that up tomorrow.

For the record, my boy toy (read:fiance) has returned from his hunting trip out west. Great white hunter has returned sorting an elk. Is it a very big elk, huge antlers? No, not really. But, you know, it has both sides of the antlers and he did indeed shoot an elk his first time out hunting the west. Good for him, if I want a unicorn I'll draw one.

Next question: where have I been? Not being creative. Nope. I mentioned the playing of PS1 games before? Well, I went and picked u Final Fantasy IX again. I got it back when it was new, played it to about half way through the second disk and walked away. So, I settled in with a walk through (I don't feel guilty about using a walk through to play a game this old >.<) And I am slowly working my way through it. I still like the story for FFXII better, but.... I intend to finish it this time!

Ack, my "p" button is still sticking! Excuse me while I go beat on my keyboard for a while to work out frustrations.

Yeah, my boy toy (read: fiancee) is off on a two week elk hunting trip in Wyoming. Good for him, right? He's off with his uncle, sleeping in a tent, traveling by horseback and washing up in a cold mountian stream. He says he's having fun (because, ironically in the wilderness these days, you can still have phone reception with the right cell service). I'm glad he is.

In the meantime, I'm a wee bit lonely. And I have all kinds of time on my hands.

So, shouldn't I be creating things? Fan works at least, art or writing. I have no excuse for the art, my excuse for the writing is that my 'P' button is still incredibly sticky, I can't imagine what a story would turn out looking like.

In the meantime, I'm playing old PS1 games on a PS3 (I'm desperate for a good rpg). And, back to Sims! Only Sims 2 though. My computer can't handle Sims three >.<

I need to look into getting more ram for this old clunker of a laptop. I just had to buy a new A/C power cable for it, so why not? (The comuter is now four years old, for anyone who care to know.)

Eh....

I've been drawing. Actually. more specifically, I've been taking old drawings, converting their lines in Illustrator, and then coloring them in Photoshop. So, of course, I really need to share the results.

If anyone had looked at this Journal a couple of years back, they would have seen that I had posted a fan art with Sanosuke and Grimmjow (from Rurouni Kenshin and Bleach respectively) in a friendly pose. I went in and revamped that picture, this time including an explantion of sorts about why I might place those two characters together. I leave it at this -- who was Grimmjow when he was alive? Maybe, just maybe, he was a street brawler out of the Meji era. Of course, I may be reaching a bit on that one ^_^

My second piece of art for the day had two characters together who belong together. Sano and Kenshin! Out fishing... I feel like I could throw out a contest for this one, you know, a "Write the dialogue for this image" sort of contest. I really had fun with this one, the look on Sanosuke's face cracks me up. But, honestly, Kenshin gave me A LOT of problems in the drawing phase. Bah, I should stick to Sano!

I also have two side notes for this post. The first is that my 'P' button is sticking like mad on my keyboard. Its driving me friggin crazy! The second note is that I picked up a natural 1st generation blue griffin male for my griffin flock. If you go play with those griffins sometime, you'll understand why that's so exciting ^_^

Yeah, really. So, if anyone is following this at all, you'll all know that I recently moved my fan website over to Bravehost. They offered 50MB of space for their free web hosting – which was PLENTY for what I needed. So, yes, I moved, all was well. About a week after I got everything moved in, I got an e-mail notice saying that they are planning on changing their free web hosting service as of September 15th.

The new service? Its a joke. 5MB of space. That is approximately 15MB short of what I currently have for content. And never-you-mind if I should think I would like to add anything more!

I do understand where Bravehost is coming from, I really do. There are plenty of people who use things like this as just mass storage, or abuse the privilege in other ways. No doubt they also have had an up shot of new websites with people trying to move away from Geocities. If they want to screw with their web hosting and bring it down to a level that a one page shrine might find suitable, that is of course their prerogative.

What pisses me off is the somewhat limited notice they gave about this change. Really, guys?

So.... I've been out hunting (again) for a new free web hosting service. And -crossing my fingers and knocking on wood on this- I do believe I struck pay-dirt on the matter! http://www.000webhost.com/ has a wonderful free service, which offers me plenty of room and bandwidth and to top it off, FTP! I signed up for an account, and as we speak I am now moving my website (again) to this new host.

I'll post links shortly on the matter, just thought I would update you all on whats going on. And, you know, rant about it a little bit ^_^()

Woot! I had a most delightful time out spending money yesterday! My boy toy decided he needed to go out shopping at a local Fleet Farm. Fine. My request in return as to take a trip over to the local book store while we were there (literaly kitty-corner to the Fleet Farm.)

And you know what? SQUEAL!!!!!!! I found and purchased the last two books of Fruits Basket Manga. I love this series. I was first drawn in by the anime, but I have to say the manga has really endured the characters to my heart. Kyo, I love that boy! And I love how the entire series ended. What more could I ask for? I don't know, maybe a “10 years later” segment. Or maybe, I should go prowl around for fan fiction on that subject.

And, while we were out we found ourselves at Walmart. I went exploring movies and... wound up buying season 8 of DBZ. I know, its been out for ages now, what's wrong with me that I hadn't bought it yet? I was being “good”. I couldn't anymore. So, I'm now marathoning through the episodes, in their native Japanese of course!

If I'm going to be COMPLETELY honest with myself and any others out there who watch DBZ though, then I have to admit that I jumped straight to the part where Goku was negotiating with the old perverted Kio in order to get Gohan trained. The T and A bit just kills me every time I see it ^_^

On a side note, I discovered that I can buy a 4GB thumbdrive for 12 dollars. So, I bought it. I have a bunch of original images and such that I'm gonna toss on their – all files related to them from Photoshop to Illustrator! That, and some of my music too ^_^

So, I'm completely jumping off the train tracks for this little post. I decided to go check in on my griffins today. It has been a LONG while since I visited them.

Griffins?

Well yes! My friend built an online game of sorts a couple of years back. It's a griffin breeding game. I highly recommend it for anyone who love genetics and/or griffins. The artistry is beautiful and the genetic idea behind the griffin breeds/colors is fun. It even keeps track of pedigrees (and if the breeder has inbreed them or not ^_^()) Not your usual pet game in that we have no need to feed or play with the griffins, just breed them and let them be (and let them grow up, I guess.)

The current prized griffin in my flock is Hades:
Hades the Griffin

My flock? Yup, You get up to 20! Want to have a looky-peek? You can actually see my flock here.

Want to sign up and have griffins of your own? Go to The Order of the Griffin , sign in, start adopting!

Now, I have to oogle other people's pretty griffins for a while...

I've been complaining and bemoaning the fact that  a lot of Sanosuke (and RuroKen) fan sites have disappeared. I can find old, dead links to them, but the shrines are gone! I'm sad about that. I know, its an old anime. Everyone is into Bleach and Naruto these days, who cares about Rurouni Kenshin? For that matter, who builds shrines anymore? I mean, everyone just posts there stories to ff.net, their art to DeviantArt, and their ideas to blogs (like this ^_^()). So, who wants t bother with attending to a shrine anymore?

It makes me feel nostalgic for times past though (you know, about 8-9 years ago, when such things were popular.)

On a high note though, fanLISTINGS still exist in force for RuroKen! Not only do they exist, but they are well tended to. I just applied for a bunch of them for my own (apparently outdated) shrine. Ans wow, half of them have all ready excepted me in. One fanlisting added me in the same night that I filled out the request form! So, that makes me happy ^_^

I'm a little put off about my just finished story though. I've gotten all of three reviews on the last chapter so far. Now, don't get me wrong, a couple of these have been very in-depth and helpful reviews (which any author would kill for). I expected, I don't know, a few more though... I guess its my own fault for not being very together about finishing that story. Eh, I'll just hold out for a while, maybe I'll get a few more reviews yet ^_^

Now, I'm gonna get in another chapter of this wonderful Star Trek: TOS fan fiction before I go to sleep. I work early tomorrow morning >.>

Well now, I HAVE been busy! We'll start on the website front. I am officially moved in and settled down on Bravehost with both my Gohan and Sanosuke shrine. I'm keeping a spare room open in the back for anther project, but that isn't urgent and shouldn't be worried about right now. In any case, you can all feel free to change you links to my site now, if you had them to begin with. For the record, I'll be leaving the old version of the Gohan Fan's Pit Stop on the Geocities account until its ultimate demise. It isn't hurting anyone there. In the mean time, I'll be throwing out a couple of re-direct links on it and hope everyone finds the new site before the end of October!

The Gohan Fan's Pit Stop
The Sanosuke Fan's Pit Stop

EDIT: My website is no longer on Bravehost. I've updated the links here, please update yours. For more information about this move. please look to this post: Ugg, Really?

Also, while I've been at this, I've been working on updating my Profile page on FanFiction.net. Partially because it was in serious need of an update, and partly to reflect the new website links. Also, I needed to clarify somewhere that not ALL of my Gohan fan fiction is romance, as one reviewer tried to tell me. Just the Bathos series is romance, NOTHING else is! Yeah, I feel better. Also, if your coming from ff.net, please note that  there are quite a few of my old Gohan stories on my new website. I have not edited most of them, I just rescued them as I removed them from the ff.net account. I have fond memories attached to most of them, you see, so I keep them.

As a final note on this updates entry, I updated/completed my Sanosuke  story “A Truth in the Darkness.” Chapter five and yes, it is DONE! My next story (eventually) will focus on Yahiko and Sanosuke. We'll see how that goes and I'll do my best to keep you updated on the matter. In the mean time go check out the current story!

Woah, good day and good news! The Gohan Fan's Pit Stop has now been moved and completed on Bravehost! I don't want to go fully public with it yet there, as I really want to finish my Sanosuke section before putting it out there as a full replacement for the Geocities website.

But, you know, if you want a sneak peak of just the Gohan section, I'm feeling generous. Click here.

I noticed today, as I was reading through a mutual fan's post on her web page (Amber, the webmistress over at the RICEBOY Gohan shrine) and she had a great rant. She pointed out how the falling of Geocities will mean the collapse of a great many Gohan/DBZ websites. Granted, most of them were not the ritz, but imagine all of the fan fiction, fan art, and general thoughts that are going to be lost. Because, we all know that most of these people have moved on and will not move their websites-- they may not even know that Geocities is closing! It really brought this point home today as I was going through my links today, and realized how many point at Geocities.

As a side note, Amber put out a request considering DBZ (Gohan) Geocities sites that anyone may know are closing and not being saved. She's after that content, in order preserve what she can. Check on that at RICEBOY.

Think about it though, this will not just affect DBZ fans. Consider how many fan pages from OTHER shows are going to be lost in this? It is disappointing. So, do your reading now, friends, as these places will be gone forever very soon!

I've known and spouted about GeoCities closing for a while. I FINALLY looked it up today, and discovered that the jig is up as of Oct. 26th. I'm just throwing that out there. I'm sure anyone of you could find that on your own, but... yeah.

In other notes of interest- I spent all day on my website rebuilding project. All Gohan fan fiction and Images that I had on the old site are now moved over to the new. I just need to finish building the rest of my pages, and, you know, post a link for you all! I'm working out Sanosuke Fan templates as I work through things. I'm attempting to multi-task, I suppose.

A final note, for my daily giggler. It seems my fiancé's mother has started to make him cook one meal a week, so that he knows how when we get married. Oh come on, is that not an “Aww” moment if you've ever heard of one?

Well now, I have one more chapter to write for my Sanosuke story “A Truth in the Darkness.” Which, if you don't know what I'm talking about, you can find here. Anyway, instead of putting the finishing touches on that, I've been working on other things.

Number one, my fan website. So, I've all ready established that Geocities intends to go the way of the Tasmanian Tiger – as in gone. Great, I need to move my website. I planned on that anyway as a matter of space issues. However, if you've followed my website for any amount of time, you KNOW I had to re-do the layout before putting it up! Ack, so, this time I've had the wisdom to use a CSS template that I can easily tweak in the future by just adding new images. Why haven't I done so earlier? I have no friggin idea! In the mean time, I busy transferring all of my stories one-by-one to the new layout. And then I have to read them. And then it dawns on me that I should really finish those two Gohan fics I've left undone. What a nasty little circle.

In the interest of the new location/version of my fan website, I wanted to create a lovely new layout for my new Sanosuke section. This lead to pose studying and drawing and a couple of new pieces of fanart, but I have yet to complete that layout. On the other hand, I explored the bulk of my notebooks/sketchbooks from throughout my time in college and had a BLAST last night taking pictures of all of the random sketches I've drawn over the years. Some were fanart, some original, and all the products of boredom. When I get to the third section of my website, the Misc section, I'll have all kinds of random drawings to post!

In book news: I've read Niel Gaimen's Graveyard Book. That was fun. Little boy raised by ghosts and a vampire? Sweet. Good book, if a little bit different. I recommend it to any who likes a little fantasy.

Right. I don't know where to start. So... I'll fake it for a moment. I'll start with real life.

I Graduated, that's a darn good start. No more college for me, now I get to start paying the bills that go along with it though. Graduated Cum Laude. I'm pretty pleased with that. Gotta say though, they day I graduated, back in mid may, it was cold as the arctic and kinda rainy and the ceremonies were outdoors. Ack.

I had a nice party though, supplied by my parents, at a local bowling alley. It was a lot of fun, as once we were done eating and gabbing, we ran off and bowled! Okay, so maybe I'm just weird enough to find that exciting.

On that note, I have NOT found a job yet. I haven't looked nearly as hard as I should, but all the same, I have not found the job. I'm still working my part time fast food job in the mean time.

I got engaged! Yes, that's vital news, if only for me. I don't plan on having the wedding for a couple of years yet though ^_^()

Otherwise, I got to have my yearly (as of the last three years) trip to Canada. Got a big ugly fish. I brought home a 41inch Northern Pike. My fiancée and his family insisted it needs to be mounted. I'll play along, but all the same, it's an ugly fish. Don't know where I'm eventually going to put it.

As for my fan interests...

I know I need to move my website soon. Geocities is under the imminent threat of shutting down. Can't say I'm heart broken, but that should force me into moving stuff. And when I move things, of course I mean to say change up the layout again. Maybe make a more stable one.

And for my one friend who has asked via Live Journal, I finally updated that Rurouni Kenshin story. A Truth in the Darkness is now up to chapter four, and I'll wrap it up in chapter five ^_^
